I chose the name School Readiness Learning Academy because of my passion to close the early education gap.
Monique Stumon is the owner/director of School Readiness Learning Academy (SRLA). “Ms Mo” established her first SRLA child care center in 2009 followed by a second center in 2017. SRLA’s affiliate program Butterfly Learning Center family child care opened in 2022.
Monique is a recipient of Hope United’s Catalyst of Hope Award. Her mission for SRLA is driven with intention and purpose. Early in her career she read that the gap in educational achievement between African American children and other racial groups was substantial.
